Groups

At Central Baptist Bearden, we offer a plethora of groups including Discipleship and Fellowship groups, Care groups and Bible Study groups! Below is a list of the different types of groups we offer as well as links for more information!

 

Sunday Bible Study (Sunday School)

We offer classes for Preschool, Children, Youth (7th – 12th grade), College and Young Adults, Single Adults and Married Adults. However, there are also many other classes for all ages throughout the week. Some study specific books of the Bible while others are topical in nature.

Discipleship

Here at Central, we also offer Discipleship Groups. These are open groups that meet to not only study scripture, but also put their faith into action.

Care

Here at Central, we offer a plethora of Care Groups that meet throughout the year. These include DivorceCare, GriefShare, Anger Management, Diabetes Self-Management, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, and Chronic Disease Self-Management. For more information on these groups, please click HERE

Fellowship

With all of our Bible studies, Discipleship Groups and Care Groups, sometimes it’s nice just to gather together and have a time of fellowship. Below are a list of our Fellowship Groups. These are open groups so feel free to join them!

Senior Adult Games and Things meets most Thursday mornings at 10am in the FAC Game Room to play cards and games. Afterwards they move to the Fellowship Hall to eat lunch together. Lunch is $5 per person

Cooking with a Mission consists of ladies who share a love for cooking, fellowship and mission. They meet the last Friday of each month from 10am – 12:30pm in the church kitchen. Time is spent cooking a meal which is shared for lunch and then packaged to share for mission – Ronald McDonald House and/or various families that are in need.

Sewing Ministry consists of ladies who share a passion for using their sewing talents. They make lap quilts, veteran quilts, hats, scarves and small pillows for Thompson Cancer Center. This group meets on Wednesdays, 1:00 – 5:00 pm in the ROC Game Room. For more information, contact Judy Gerhardt at Judy.Gerhardt@gmail.com

Knitting Ministry consists of ladies who share a passion for knitting and crocheting. They make prayer shawls, hats for Thompson Cancer Center and red hats for heart month at local hospitals (for babies). This group meets on Mondays, 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall (FH6). Women on Mission consists of ladies who come together to discuss missions, pray for those currently serving and collect items/funds for different mission projects. This group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10:15 am – 12:00 pm (lunch is served). Grandmothers at Prayer (GAP) consists of women who come together to pray over their grandchildren. This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 10:30 – 11:30 am in the Prayer Room (located on the 2nd floor).
